Week of May 15, 2023

The Chula Vista Elementary School District prioritizes our school communities’ opinions, perceptions, and needs. The District is partnering with Hanover Research to conduct a short survey to help us understand how the current school year has been and the priorities and needs for the 2023-24 school year. We invite you to participate in this brief survey between May 9 and May 23, 2023. All responses are anonymous and will be kept confidential. Now is the time for end-of-year state (CAASPP) and district (Local Measures) testing. Children do their best when they get a good night’s sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive to school on time (7:45).

We need volunteers for our Finney Field Day on Friday, May 26, 8:00-11:30 am. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Ms. Longo, giulia.longo@cvesd.org.

Finney is seeking substitutes for Student Attendant and Clerical positions. Earn money while helping your child’s school. Click here to apply.

There is no sharing of food or drink allowed at school. Please do not send any junk food or sugary drinks to school. NO “SPORTS” DRINKS/PRIME/GATORADE. These are not healthy for children, they attract ants, and cause other problems.

Starting in July, 2023, CVESD is eliminating second chance breakfast. FREE BREAKFAST for all students will be served 7:15-7:40 ONLY. Please plan accordingly.
