Do you know a child who will be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2023? Register for Kindergarten NOW ONLINE at CVESD.ORG/EnrollNow. We need families to enroll early to ensure that we can fully staff our school next year. We have space in other grade levels also. Transfers welcome!
Finney’s current chronic absentee rate is 34.5%. That means over one third of students have missed 10% or more of school days. We cannot teach them if they are not here. Finney attendance last week was 90.9% – our goal is 98%. Mr. Barraza’s class had the highest attendance last week with 98.8%. Students should only miss school when they are sick.
End-of-year state (CAASPP) and district (Local Measures) testing calendar is here. Children do their best when they get a good night’s sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive to school on time (7:45).
