The Great Kindness Challenge is global week-long celebration of kindness, January 23-27. We are seeking parent volunteers to help with kindness activities during morning recess, 9:30-10:45 a.m. during that week. If you are interested, please contact Mrs. Rose Gonzalez rosemary.gonzalez@cvesd.org.

We are planning to take an aerial photo of the entire school body on Friday, Jan. 27 for the Great Kindness Challenge. If you have access to a drone to help us take our photo, please let Dr. Prange know. Here’s the photo we took for the 2018 Great Kindness Challenge:

Our lost and found bin is full of sweaters and jackets! Please come pick up your lost items. The bin is located in the cafeteria.

Here is the CVESD 2023-2024 Calendar. Please consider the school calendar when making plans–there are only 180 days of school and every day counts! If you would like a hard copy, we have them in the front office.

Finney attendance last week was 93.1% – our goal is 98%. Congratulations to Mrs. Aguilera’s Class and Mrs. Martinez’s Class for having 100% attendance last week! Regular school attendance is a major factor in success in school and in life!

COVID: Please report positive Covid tests on this form. Positive individuals are considered infectious 2 days before symptom onset or the date of positive test collection if not symptomatic.

• A minimum of 5 days of isolation starting from the date of onset of symptoms day zero, or a positive test if asymptomatic
• Proof of a negative test is required to return to school or work after day 5 and before day 11
• If an individual continues to test positive after day 5, they can continue to try to test out every day. They can return to school without a test on day 11.
