Our attendance rate last week was 87%–our goal is 98%. Congratulations to Mr. Turner’s class, Room 404, with 95%!
Students should only miss school if they are sick. Those with symptoms can return with a negative Covid test, no fever for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication, and symptoms improving. We have plenty of rapid tests at school–just ask in the office. If you have a special circumstance and need an independent study, please let us know.
Please schedule appointments after school or on non-school days. There are only 180 days of school each year. The CVESD calendar is here. If you would like a hard copy, we have them in the school office.
This week is a special music class. We are recording a winter video, telling the story of “Snowmen at Night” with the WHOLE SCHOOL! We are filming during music class next week.
All students are invited to wear white or blue (ice colors), hats, scarves, winter themed pajamas, holiday clothing, or snowmen costumes on their VAPA day.
Here is the VAPA filming schedule:
Monday- 6th and 3rd grade
Tuesday- 4th and 5th grade, 4/5 combo
Wednesday- 2nd and 1st
Thursday- SDC and Kindergarten
Please join us for the Finney PTA Movie Night fundraiser on Friday, December 9 for The Grinch on the Finney Field. Bring your chairs, jackets, hats, and blankets! Admission is $2. Proceeds to benefit activities for Finney students.
