It was great to see everyone on Friday for our costume parade!

NO costumes are allowed at school on October 31 (except Ms. Gina’s class, SDC preschool, and Ms. Tanya’s PM preschool). NO CANDY and NO GUM allowed at school.

Our attendance rate last week was 90% and no classes met our goal of 98%. School attendance is required by law and is necessary in order for students to make progress. There are only 180 school days in the whole year! Students should only miss school if they are sick. If you have a special circumstance requiring an independent study, please let us know.

CVESD students have access to district programs from home: iReady Math (K-6th), Smarty Ants Reading (PK-2nd), and Achieve3000 Reading (2nd-6th). Just visit https://www.cvesd.org/district/students. If you need your student’s log in credentials, ask your teacher.

Finney is helping the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society by participating in the Light the Night fundraiser.

Donations can be made through the link to Finney’s Light the Night fundraising page. For families who want to join in the walk on Nov. 5th, we’ll be meeting at the waterfront park by 7pm (walk begins at 7:30 PM, and it’s one-mile). Finney PTA is holding a membership drive October 17-November 14. The class with the highest percentage of PTA members will win a movie party. Here is the link to join PTA.
