Week of February 15, 2021

There is NO SCHOOL on Monday, February 15 in honor of Presidents’ Day. See you on Tuesday, February 16!

We still do not have a specific date for return to in-person school. Once San Diego County gets to the RED Tier we will be able to reopen in the Hybrid Model. Red Tier means San Diego County has fewer than 7 daily new cases per 100,000. We currently have 34.2 new cases daily per 100,000.

Questions about Reopening? Please join Superintendent Francisco Escobedo virtually on Feb. 16 for the CVESD Town Hall Meeting 6:00 pm (Enlace en español)

FREE COVID-19 testing at Finney on February 18 for students, families and staff. The antibody test consists of a light fingerprick; results as quickly as 15 minutes for those who wait for their results. The viral test is the shallow nose swab test; results available within three-to-four business days. Learn more here: Viral Test for COVID-19. Participants have the option of only doing one of the tests or both, and they are offered at no cost. To schedule an appointment, please click here. Walk-ins are welcome!
