Join us this Friday, September 6 at 8:00 am in Rm. 201 for the ELAC and Coffee with the Principal meeting. Come learn about and give input on our School Safety Plan and Site Plan for Student Achievement!

Finney’s Art Teacher, Mrs. Clemetson, is headed to Rome, Italy during Fall Break to hang Finney student artwork at the Colosseum! The exhibit will kick off the United Nations’ International Day of Peace. Follow Mrs. Clemetson on Twitter here.

Sadly, no classes had 100% attendance last week. Finney’s overall attendance was 96%. Our goal is 98%. We can only teach them if they come to school…every minute of every day counts! Plan vacations when school is not in session. 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 CVESD Calendars are here.

PTA is organizing our annual Finney Fun Run fundraiser this year. We are raising money for an outdoor hand washing station and chess club materials. Kick-off is the Tuesday, Sept. 3. Look for information packets going home with students this week.

CVESD is having Parent Preview nights for students in grades 4th-6th to preview Adolescent Growth Education materials. The first preview night is Sept. 16 at 6:00 pm. More info here.
