Curriculum Night is Thursday, August 8th 5-7 pm. Each teacher will present to parents about the curriculum and expectations for the school year. Classroom presentations are given twice. The schedule for the evening is:

4:00-4:30 PTA Meeting Rm. 201
4:30-5:00 PTA Food Sales in Lunch Arbor
5:00-5:15  6th Grade Silent Auction bidding in the auditorium
5:15-5:30 Presentation of Finney team in the auditorium
5:30-6:00 Grade level curriculum presentations in classrooms
6:00-6:30 Grade level curriculum presentations in classrooms (repeat)
6:30-7:00 Silent Auction final bids

We need your help to send our 6th graders to camp! Please help by donating items to your grade level’s gift basket for the annual Sixth Grade Gift Basket Auction fundraiser which will take place during Curriculum Night. Bring items by Wednesday, Aug. 7th.

We will also be holding School Site Council elections and electing our DELAC representative during Curriculum Night.  If you would like to nominate yourself or someone else for School Site Council or DELAC Representative, please submit form to the office by Tuesday, Aug. 6th. Please help us keep our students safe by following traffic rules. There is NO student drop off or pick up on the RED curb in front of the school–this is for school buses and emergency vehicles only. Please use the white curb on Byrd Street for drop off and pick up. Please do not park in STAFF parking spots at any time. Many times teachers have gone to lunch and they cannot get to class on time because their spot is taken.

Congratulations Mrs. Pridmore! Finney’s Music Teacher is a Quarterfinalist for the Music Teacher GRAMMY award. She will be recognized at the CVESD Board Mtg. on Aug. 14 at 6 pm.
