YMCA STRETCH applications for before and after school child care for 2019-2020 will be available on April 8th. Applications must be submitted by a parent to a STRETCH staff member 4/15-4/26.

Montgomery High Basketball players are hosting a basketball league at Finney for 4th-6th grade students. Tryouts are April 10, 12, 15, and 17, 3:15-4:45 on the Finney basketball courts. Interested students can pick up a permission slip in the office.

Finney VAPA Family Nights are April 16 (K-2nd) and April 17 (3rd-6th), 5:00-6:30. VAPA Family Night activities will be held in the Art and Music rooms.

April is the Month of the Military Child. This is a chance to recognize our military families for their contributions and sacrifices. We invite service members to serve as guest speakers at our Morning Meeting (7:45 a.m.) on the blacktop to share a character message with our students. If you are interested in being a guest speaker, please contact Dr. Prange: beverly.prange@cvesd.org.

Our garden is blooming! Thank you to Finney Garden Club members for all their hard work. The next Garden Work Day is Saturday, April 13, 8:00-12:00–students who help out will receive a No Homework Pass. Grades K-3rd must be accompanied by a parent; 4th-6th grade students must have a parent sign a permission slip when they arrive.
