The Kids’ Heart Challenge event is coming up on Friday, February 22 (formerly Jump Rope for Heart). Students can continue to collect donations for the American Heart Association and win prizes up until the event. More info at www.heart.org/kidsheartchallenge .

6th Grade is holding a Yard Sale Fundraiser on Saturday, February 23, 7:00-12:00. If you would like to rent a space ($10) to sell your items, please contact Ms. Pot or Mr. Turner, or sign up in the office.

The Finney Family STEM Night is Thursday, Feb. 28, 5:00-7:00. Join us for fun, hands-on math and science activities for the whole family. This will also be the grand opening of the Bulldog Brain Zone–Finney’s new makerspace!

Everyone can help keep our children safe by following all traffic laws. The white curb in front of the school is a loading zone only. You may not park and leave your car in the loading zone. Please do not stop at the red curb at any time. Violators of traffic laws will be ticketed. Please do not cross the street in the middle of the block. Please cross the street at the corner.

We are seeking volunteers to assist with morning traffic, from 7:30-7:45. Please sign up in the office if you are interested in helping.

Congratulations to Mrs. Haase’s class, Room 202, for having 100% attendance last week–way to go! Finney’s overall attendance was 95.4% last week. Our goal is 98%. Be sure to bring your child to school every day on time. Every minute of every day counts!

Finney Elementary and CVESD are seeking your input regarding our Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) goals.
