Finney is raising money for the American Heart Association by participating in the Kids’ Heart Challenge (formerly Jumprope for Heart). Parent letters and envelopes were sent home on Thursday. Go to www.heart.org/kidsheartchallenge or download the Kids Heart Challenge app. Our Heat Challenge event is Friday, Feb. 22.

Do you know a child who will be 5 years old by September 1st? Kindergarten registration for 2019-2020 begins February 20th. Registration packets will be available on Feb. 6th. We need everyone’s help spreading the word about Kindergarten registration to ensure we can fully staff our school with fabulous teachers. CVESD is offering Kinder Readiness orientations for parents on February 4. Click here for more info.

Enjoy a delicious breakfast served by Finney teachers! 5th Grade is hosting a Flapjack Breakfast Saturday, February 2 at Applebee’s on Palomar St. to raise funds for the Riley’s Farm field trip. This Friday, February 1st is Movie Night at Finney! Bundle up and bring a chair. We will be showing Incredibles 2. Food sales start at 4:30 and the movie starts at 5:30.
