Monday, January 15 there is NO SCHOOL in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr.

Finney PTA’s Membership Drive is January 9-Feb. 9. The first class to reach full PTA membership will receive a Bubble & Popcorn Party (one upper, one primary). Any family member or community member can join. The first PTA General Meeting of 2018 will be January 17 at 5:30 pm.

The CVESD Speech Contest encourages 4th-6th grade students to share what is important to them. The topics are:
4th – What should matter most?
5th – Why should (you/we) care?
6th – What should (you/we) not turn (your/our) back(s) on?
Finney classroom speech winners will compete in the Finney Speech Contest on Feb. 2nd. Winners of the Finney Speech Contest will compete at the district level. Contest rules are available here: CVESD Speech Contest

Please label all jackets and sweaters with your child’s name. This will help us get them back to their owners!

To ensure we can contact you in case of emergency, please ensure your contact information is up to date in our front office AND with your child’s teacher. Only those people listed on the green emergency card in the front office will be permitted to pick up your student (with government-issued photo ID).

If you are interested in volunteering during the Great Kindness Challenge, we are seeking volunteers to help students with kindness projects during recess, Jan. 22-26, from 10:00-10:45 and from 11:45-12:45. Please sign up in the office.
