The YMCA STRETCH Program is currently seeking participants for the morning program at Finney. This is a FREE before school child care program open from 6:30-7:45 AM, offering homework assistance, school readiness, and health education. STRETCH students can eat breakfast before school starts. Saturday, October 14 is the CVESD Parent Academy at Hedenkamp Elementary. Join us to learn about tools, strategies, and resources to support your child’s success in school.

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Finney October 16-20. Proceeds from the book fair will help us purchase new books for the Finney school library. If you are interested in volunteering during the book fair, please sign up on the sign up sheets posted at the school entrance.

To ensure your children’s safety, please observe traffic laws: only cross the street at the corner; do not stop your car in the red zone; do not leave your car unattended in the white drop off zone. When using the drop off zone, please pull all the way forward to expedite the drop off process. Follow the directions of traffic volunteers.

Finney PTA organizational meeting! Tuesday, Oct. 10 at 5:00 pm in the auditorium. Become a founding member of the Finney PTA and vote in PTA Board Elections! If there is more than one candidate for an office, each candidate will have 3 minutes to speak. The class with the most parents in attendance who join the PTA will win a popsicle party for the class.
